Innova 5610: Performing a Diesel Particulate Filter Reset

Note: Verify with the coverage checker if DPF Reset is supported for your specific vehicle.

Step 1 - Press the MENU button.

Once your 5610 has established communication with your vehicle, press the MENU button.

Step 2 - Select Service Reset, then press ENTER ↵.

The Main Menu will display.

Select Service Reset, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 3 - Select DPF Reset in the Service Reset menu, then press ENTER ↵.

Select the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Reset in the Service Reset menu, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 4 - Press Yes to confirm that your vehicle's engine under test is a diesel.

Press Yes to confirm that your vehicle's engine under test is a diesel engine.

If the vehicle under test is not a diesel vehicle, an advisory message will display stating that the Diesel Particulate Filter Reset function is not available for your vehicle. If so, select Back to return to the Service Reset menu.

Step 5 - Select DPF Regeneration Procedure, then press ENTER ↵.

Select DPF Regeneration Procedure, then press ENTER ↵.

If the vehicle under test does not support DPF Regeneration, an Informational screen will only display the procedures for passive DPF regeneration.

Select Back to return to the DPF Reset Menu.

Step 6 - Select DPF OBD Service to begin the DPF Service.

Select DPF OBD Service, then press ENTER ↵.

The Informational screen will display the procedures for passive or active DPF regeneration, as applicable.
