Innova 5510: Performing a Steering Angle Sensor Reset (SAS)

Purpose

To guide you on how to perform a Steering Angle Sensor Reset (SAS) with the Innova 5510.

Note: If an error occurs while performing calibration procedures, an Advisory message will display. Press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.

Step 1 - While linked to the vehicle, press the MENU button.

Step 2 - Select Service Reset, then press ENTER ↵.

The Main Menu will display.

Select Service Reset, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 3 - Select Steering Angle Sensor Calibration, then press ENTER ↵.

The Service Reset screen will display.

Select Steering Angle Sensor Calibration, then press ENTER ↵.

For some vehicles, a submenu will display. Select the desired option, then press ENTER ↵. Proceed to step 4.

Note: If SAS calibration is not supported by the vehicle under test, an Advisory message will display. Press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.

Step 4 - Select 'Yes' and press ENTER ↵ to confirm your vehicle.

Confirm your vehicle by selecting Yes and press ENTER ↵.

Step 5 - Select the procedure, and press ENTER ↵.

	Select the procedure, and press ENTER ↵.
	A One moment please message will display.

Step 6 - Select the procedure, and press ENTER ↵.

	Select the procedure, and press ENTER ↵.
	Select again the procedure, and press ENTER ↵.

Step 7 - Follow the procedures on the screen until the procedure is completed. Select Next and press ENTER ↵, as appropriate, to scroll to the next screen.

For some vehicles, Status screens will display as each phase of the calibration procedure is successfully completed.

Select Next and press ENTER ↵, as appropriate, to scroll to the next screen.

A Results screen will display when the calibration procedure has been completed.
