Innova 5510: Performing a Hybrid/EV Battery Test, Battery/Alternator Test

Purpose

To guide you on navigating to the Hybrid/EV Battery Test, Battery/Alternator test features for your vehicle while using the Innova 5510.

Hybrid/EV Battery Test, Battery/Alternator Test

The Innova 5510 can perform a check of the vehicle’s battery and alternator system or hybrid/EV battery system to ensure the system is operating within acceptable limits. You can perform a battery check only, or an alternator system (battery and alternator) check.

Step 1 - Press the MENU button and release.

 Press the MENU button and release.

Step 2 - Select Hybrid/EV Battery Test, Battery/Alternator Test, then press ENTER ↵.

The Main Menu will display.

Scroll through the screen using the DOWN ▼ button.

Select Hybrid/EV Battery Test, Battery/Alternator Test, then press ENTER ↵.

Step 3 - Select 'Yes' and press ENTER ↵ to confirm your vehicle.

 Press 'Yes' to confirm your vehicle.

Step 4 - Select Battery Test or Alternator Test, then press ENTER ↵.

The Battery/Alternator Monitor Menu will display.

Select Battery Test or Alternator Test, then press ENTER ↵. 

When you have finished viewing the retrieved information, press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.
