Innova 5510: How to review Diagnostic Trouble Codes in Memory

Viewing Data in Memory

After you've scanned with the 5510 and unplugged from the vehicle, you can review your DTCs and Live Data at any time using the 5510's memory mode feature.

Step 1 - With the 5510 not connected to a vehicle, press the POWER/LINK button.

With the 5510 not connected to your vehicle, press the POWER/LINK button to turn on your device.

Make sure that you place batteries in your device before turning on your device.

Wait until the device loads the system.

When you retrieve DTCs from a vehicle, the data is saved to the 5510s memory. The 5510 stores data for the three most recent vehicles tested. Each time you retrieve DTCs from a new vehicle, existing data for the oldest vehicle in the 5510's memory is replaced with new data.

Step 2 - Select the desired vehicle, then press ENTER ↵.

If more than one vehicle is stored in the 5510’s memory, the Vehicle Information menu will display.

Select the desired vehicle, then press ENTER ↵.

The Memory System menu will then display.

Note: If there are no vehicles currently stored in the 5510, an advisory message will display. Press the MENU button to return to the Main Menu.

Step 3 - Select the DTCs you wish to view, then press ENTER ↵.

Select the DTCs you wish to view, then press ENTER ↵.

The 5510 will display the Priority DTC code first.

If there are no DTCs currently stored in the 5510’s memory, an advisory message will show on the display. Press DTC/FF to scroll through all stored DTCs, and to view Freeze Frame data for the priority DTC.

When all DTCs have been displayed and DTC/FF is pressed, the 5510 will display the first enhanced DTC stored in memory. Press DTC/FF to scroll through all stored enhanced DTCs.

Note: The DTCs that display in your system memory when your device is unplugged will show all the DTCs only from your most recent scan. If you did not scan for ABS in your recent scan then your ABS codes will not show in your system memory.

Step 4 - To turn off your 5510, press and release the POWER/LINK button.

When you have finished viewing data in the 5510's memory, press and release the POWER/LINK button to turn the 5510 off.
