Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector: How to submit data and get report on Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool tool

    Purpose

To guide you on how to submit data from the Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool and get reports on RepairSolutionsPRO (RSPRO) App.

    Introduction

The Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool is an advanced Diagnostic Scan Tool that can help technicians troubleshoot and monitor a vehicle’s performance. To complement this tool, we’ve created the RSPRO app. This app seamlessly integrates with the Scan Tool to provide technicians with valuable insights and information.

The RSPRO app allows you to view four types of reports: Diagnostic, Customer, Collision, and OBD2. Each report is designed to provide you with the information you need, without any unnecessary clutter. By submitting these reports to the app, you can access free Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vehicle information such as Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), Technical Service Bulletin (TSB), recalls, predicted failures, warranty status, scheduled maintenance, and more.

Using the RSPRO app, you can easily generate pre-scan and post-scan reports for each vehicle you work on. You can also share the results of these reports with your customers, helping them to understand the work you’ve done and the state of their vehicle.

To get started with the RSPRO app, please download it and pair it with your Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool. Once paired, the app will automatically receive data from the Scan Tool, allowing you to generate reports with ease.

    Procedure

Step 1 - Connect Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool to the vehicle and select 'OBD2 Diagnostics' function

First, connect the Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool to your vehicle via the Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC) to retrieve the vehicle's information, such as VIN and On-Board Diagnostic (OBD2) information.

There are two options to access 'OBD2 Diagnostics':

    • Option 1 (AutoLink function is OFF): From the Home Screen, select 'OBD2 Diagnostics' section and press the OK button.

    • Option 2 (AutoLink function is ON): From the 'OBD2 Control Display' screen, press 'Home' button, after that select the 'OBD2 Diagnostics' section.

Step 2 – Generate the OBD2 report on the Scan Tool

NOTE: Before generating an report on the RSPRO application, make sure your Scan Tool is paired with the RSPRO account which used.

After selecting the “OBD2 Diagnostics” section, the SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool gets the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD2) diagnostic information of the vehicle and is shown as in the image. This information including:

    • Emission Inspection Status
    • MIL Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)
    • I/M Monitor Status: This Drive Cycle and Since Clear DTC
    • DTCs (Stored DTCs, Pending DTCs, Permanent DTCs)

To submit the OBD2 data through Wi-Fi and generate a report on the RSPRO application, select the 'Fix for DTCs' softkey - when the vehicle has the MIL DTC. However, before viewing the results of 'Fix for DTCs', ensure that you have reviewed and accepted the Disclaimer information. NOTE: After selecting the 'Fix for DTCs' softkey to create the report for the current vehicle, the submits data and generates a report function will be disabled until performing relink.

And when the vehicle does not have the MIL DTC, you can select the ‘OBD2 Report’ softkey to submit the OBD2 data through Wi-Fi and generate a report on the RSPRO application. NOTE: After the Scan Tool submits data on the server and generates a report on the RSPRO, the 'OBD2 Report' softkey disappears until performing relink.

In addition, the 'submit data' and 'generate report' features are also available in the Previous Vehicle section. This means that if you are conducting a vehicle diagnostic process and the Scan Tool is not connected to Wi-Fi, you won't be able to submit data or generate a report at that moment. However, the Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool stores this data and submits it to generate the report later by selecting the 'Submit Data' softkey when the Scan Tool connects to Wi-Fi.
