Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector: RepairSolutionPRO Introduction


    Purpose

    To guide users on How to use RepairSolutionsPRO (RSPRO) App with the Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool.

    Introduction

    Innova RepairSolutionsPRO (RSPRO) app is a web-based service created to assist Professional technicians in simplifying and augmenting their vehicle diagnostic process.

    In essence, it helps you decode the diagnostic data collected by your INNOVA® OBD2 Tablet Scan Tool to arrive at a most likely fix. At its core, the app uses a database of millions of real-world verified fixes–collected over the last 25 years by ASE Master Technicians across the U.S.– that is cross-referenced to your specific vehicle’s problem to instantly arrive at a verified fix. Think of it as a second opinion from your most trusted peers to help you diagnose and repair more vehicles.

    The app allows you to share and view reports. This app categorizes them into All, Diagnostic, OBD2, Customer, and Collision with a filter to look up by Vehicle Info, Date and Time, Customer Name, Pre or Post, and includes a search toolbar. Each report includes all the diagnostic information from your Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool including OBD2 Diagnostic, Scan All Systems, Vehicle Inspection, and MIL DTC Diagnostic Info. You can put a Pre-scan and Post-scan report side-by-side for an accurate view of the vehicle's condition before and after the repair. In addition, the RSPRO App offers Verified Fixes, Predicted Repairs, Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) & Recalls, and Upcoming Maintenance. This is the ultimate solution for all your report archiving and management needs. The RSPRO App is available for Apple iOS & Android Devices (Scan QR Code).

    Procedure

    Step 1 - Retrieve your vehicle’s diagnostic data

    Turn the ignition ON, do not start the vehicle.

    Plugging the Scan Tool into the vehicle Data Link Connector (DLC) port. Once connected, the Scan Tool begins communicating and retrieves Vehicle Information. Once complete, the Scan Tool displays the vehicle’s Year, Make, Model, VIN, and mileage on the Vehicle Infor Screen.

    Refer the appropriate diagnostic test you wish to perform: ODB2 Diagnostics, OEM Diagnostics, Workshop Tools.

    Step 2 – Download and install the RSPRO app and create an account

    Get started by setting up an account and registering the Scan Tool with RSPRO App.

    Launch the app and log in to your account.

    If you have not yet established an account, you must register for a FREE account before proceeding.

    Step 3 - Pair with the Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool via Bluetooth to get device ID

    Follow the screen prompts to pair your Innova SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool.

    Turn On Bluetooth® on your mobile device.

    Turn the Scan Tool ON.

    Be sure your mobile device is connected to an available Wi-Fi network.

    Begin the pairing process by selecting your Scan Tool from the list.

    Step 4 - Connect SDS43 SDS-Inspector Tablet Scan Tool to Wi-Fi

    To access all the features provided in your diagnostic Scan Tool, a local Wi-Fi network connection is necessary.

    NOTE: Before making a Wi-Fi connection, you need to register to the RepairSolutionsPRO App successfully.








    From Home Screen, select Wi-Fi Settings in the Settings Menu, then press OK.

    The Scan Tool verifies if it is registered to the RSPRO app.










    If the Scan Tool did not register with the RSPRO app, the screen displays the information requesting that the Scan Tool be registered to the RSPRO app.











    The Wi-Fi Setting screen displays if the Scan Tool is registered with the RSPRO app.

    If you are currently connected to a Wi-fi network, the Network Name is shown 'Connected' under the Strength column; if not, it shows the Wi-Fi icon.







    To change or connect to a Network, choose the desired network name, then press 'OK' button.

    When the password has been entered, select the 'V' softkey to save your change and connect to the selected Wi-Fi network.

    This is a one-time setup. From now, every report sent from your Scan Tool will automatically be pushed to the cloud and pulled down to RSPRO. That means you'll never lose old reports or run out of device storage.

    Once paired, the data from your Scan Tool automatically transferred to the app to create a report.
