    So, this article shows you how to use the Innova SDS50 SDS-Tech Tablet Scan Tool to perform the Transmission Fluid Level Check function on a vehicle.

    Procedure

    Step 1 - Connect Innova SDS50 SDS-Tech Tablet Scan Tool to the vehicle and select 'Workshop Tools' function

    First, connect the Innova SDS50 SDS-Tech Tablet Scan Tool to your vehicle via the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) connector to retrieve the vehicle's information, such as Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and model.

    Then, select the 'Workshop Tools' section.

    Step 2 – Select the ‘Transmission Fluid Level Check’ function

    The Innova SDS50 SDS-Tech Tablet Scan Tool shows the list of functions available for your vehicle. To initiate the Transmission Fluid Level Check, choose the 'Transmission Fluid Level Check ' item from the list.

    After that select ‘TCM - Transmission Control Module’ item to enter the system responsible for the ‘Transmission Reset’ function on the vehicle.  

    NOTE: The system name and function procedure differ depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

    Step 3 – Choose the function to perform

    Select the ‘Transmission Reset’ item.

    NOTE: The functions differ depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

    Step 4 – Perform the 'Transmission Reset’ function

    After select the Transmission Reset function, the Scan Tool shows requirements that must be met first before performing the ‘Transmission Fluid Level Check’ function. If not, the function process maybe failed.

    Tap ‘Next’ button to go to the next step.

    Next, when the condition meet requirement, choose the desired function to perform based on the vehicle characteristic. In this case, choose the ‘Dipstick Level Checking (if equipped)’ function.

    After that, the Scan Tool show the first step for the reset function, make sure met the requirements to ensure the ‘Transmission Fluid Level Check’ function working exactly.

    Then, select the 'Next’ button to go to the next step.

    Follow the all steps in the procedure and make sure met the requirements of the procedure.

    Select ‘Back’ button after completing the function, to exit the function.
