Innova 5610: Scanning & Viewing DTCs for Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

TPMS Code with Replacement Part & Repair


Step 1 - While linked to your vehicle, press the System Status button.

While linked to your vehicle, press the System Status button to navigate to your list of scan options.

Step 2 - Press DOWN▼ to scroll to the TPMS option then press ENTER ↵.

The System Menu will display.

Scroll through the options in the System Menu by pressing the DOWN ▼ button, and select the TPMS option by pressing ENTER ↵.

Step 3 - Press Yes to confirm your vehicle.

Press the Yes button to confirm your vehicle.

Step 4 - Wait for the 5610 to complete the scan.

A One moment please message will display while your scan tool retrieves your TPMS DTCs. Wait until the scan is 100% complete.

If the scan tool fails to link to the vehicle’s computer, a Communication Error message will show. In this case:

  • Ensure your vehicle is OBD2 compliant.
  • Verify your tool's connection at the DLC port and that your ignition is turned On.
  • Turn the ignition Off, wait 5 seconds, then turn the ignition back On to reset the vehicle's computer.
  • Press the POWER/LINK button to continue.

If the scan tool cannot link to the vehicle’s computer after three attempts, the Contact Technical Support message will display.

  • Press the System Status button to return to the System Menu.
  • Turn the ignition off, and disconnect your scan tool from the DLC Port.
  • Contact Technical Support for assistance.

Note: If TPMS functionality is not supported, an advisory message will show.

Step 5 - Press UP▲ or DOWN▼ to scroll through your TPMS codes.

After your tool finishes scanning, press the UP ▲ and DOWN ▼ buttons to scroll through the TPMS codes.

You may refer to Display Functions for a description of each display element.

When the last retrieved DTC has been displayed press the DOWN ▼ button again to return to the first code.

If the definition for the currently displayed code is not available, an advisory message will show.

In the case of codes with long definitions, a small arrow will show in the upper/lower right-hand corner of the screen to indicate the presence of additional information.

If no codes are present, the message No TPMS DTCs are presently stored in the vehicle’s computer will show.

To exit the TPMS code screen, press the Systems Available button to return to the System Menu.

Note: You may also press the DTC/FF button to scroll through your codes one at a time.

Step 6 - To return to your TPMS codes press the DTC/FF button.


To return to your TPMS codes after pressing any button, press the DTC/FF button to re-display your TPMS codes.

If the scan tool's communication with the vehicle's computer disconnects, press POWER/LINK again to re-establish communication.
