Innova 5610: The Main Menu

Main Menu

You can use the scan tool to perform additional diagnostic tests, view diagnostic and vehicle information stored in the vehicle's onboard computer, and configure the scan tool for your particular needs. These functions are accessed through the Main Menu.

Available Functions


The Main Menu has the following features:

  • Active Test – Displays a menu of system/actuator tests for the vehicle under test, which lets you perform active tests for various vehicle actuators and systems.
  • Special Function - Displays a menu of Special Function, which allows you to perform dealership-level relearn procedures.
  • Service Reset – This lets you reset the Oil Maintenance Light, reset the battery monitor system after battery replacement, perform calibration procedures for the vehicle’s Steering Angle Sensor (SAS), perform Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) cable replacement, and reset, perform diesel particulate filter reset, or perform Anti-Lock Brake System (AVS) bleeding.
  • Service Check – This lets you view the current engine oil level, oil life remaining, brake pad life, and transmission fluid temperature.
  • OBD Mode Test – Displays the System Tests menu, which lets you retrieve and view results for the O2 Sensor Test and OBD Monitor Test, and initiates a test of the vehicle’s EVAP system. The OBD Mode Test option is shown only when the Scan Tool is in Global OBD2 mode.
  • Hybrid Battery Check, Battery/Alternator Test – Performs a check of the vehicle’s battery and alternator system (or hybrid/EV battery system) to ensure the system is operating within acceptable limits.
  • Drive Cycle Procedure – This lets you view drive cycle procedures for a selected vehicle monitor.
  • DLC Locator – This lets you find the location of the Data Link Connector (DLC) for a specified vehicle.
  • Vehicle Information – Displays the Vehicle Info menu, which lets you retrieve and view reference information for the vehicle under test.
  • Firmware Version – Displays the Scan Tool’s firmware version.
  • Tool Library – Displays the Tool Library menu, which provides access to OBD1 and OBD2 DTC libraries and to definitions for Monitor icons and LED indicators.
  • Tool Settings – Displays the Tool Settings menu, which lets you make adjustments and settings to configure the Scan Tool to your particular needs.
