Innova 5610: Scanning Individual Modules

Module Scan

Scan your vehicle's modules by selecting individually to check for any diagnostic trouble codes.

Scroll through the options in the System Menu by pressing the DOWN ▼ button, then select Module Selection by pressing ENTER ↵.

Press UP ▲ or DOWN ▼ to scroll through the vehicle's module system(Powertrain/Body/Chassis), then select the system you wish to scan by pressing the ENTER ↵ button.
Once the desired system is selected, it will display the modules located in that system.
Press the Back button to return to the previous screen.

Select Read DTCS.
A One moment please message will display while your 5610 retrieves your DTCs for your select module. Wait until the scan is 100% complete.
If the 5610 fails to link to the selected module, a Communication Error message will show. In this case:
Ensure your vehicle is OBD2 compliant.
Verify the connection at the DLC port and that your ignition is turned ON.
Turn the ignition OFF, wait 5 seconds, then turn the ignition back ON to reset the vehicle's computer.
Press the POWER/LINK button to continue.
If the selected module does not support the Read DTC function, an advisory message will display. Press the System Status button to return to the System Menu.

Press the UP ▲ and DOWN ▼ buttons to scroll through your select module's DTCs.
You may refer to Display Functions for a description of each display element.
When the last retrieved DTC has been displayed press the DOWN ▼ button again to return to the first code.
If the definition for the currently displayed code is not available, an advisory message will show.
In the case of codes with long definitions, a small arrow will show in the upper/lower right-hand corner of the screen to indicate the presence of additional information.
If no codes are present, the message No [System Name] DTCs are presently stored in the vehicle’s computer will show.
To exit the screen, press the Diagnostic Menu button to return to the Diagnostic Menu.
