Active Tests & Special Functions
The Active Test will let you perform bi-directional tests for various vehicle actuators and systems. The Special Functions are for relearning procedures such as crankshaft and camshaft relearns.
How to Access Bi-Directional Active Tests & Special Functions

Step 1 - Press the System Status button.
- To navigate to your Active Tests or Special Functions, press the System Status button.
Step 2 - Select ECM (or PCM) and confirm your vehicle.
- Select ECM (or PCM), then press ENTER ↵.
- Confirm your vehicle.
Step 3 - Select Active Test.
- Select Active Tests, then press ENTER ↵.
- Wait for the device to scan your vehicle,
- View the Active Tests Menu.
Step 4 - Select Special Functions.
- Select Special Functions, then press ENTER ↵.
- Wait for the device to scan your vehicle,
- View the Special Functions Menu.
