Purpose
This guide introduces the Heady-Duty On-Board Diagnostic (HD OBD).
About the Device
The Scan Tool provides diagnostic capabilities for the commercial vehicles manufactured from 1985 to now, including:

Four (4) Types of HD OBD Connector
6-Pin Connector: support SAE J1587/J1708 standard only
9-Pin Black connector: support both SAE J1587/J1708 standard and SAE J1939 standard (with baud rate up to 50 kbps)
9-Pin Green connector: support both SAE J1587/J1708 standard and SAE J1939 standard (with baud rate up to 500 kbps)
16-Pin connector: support J1979 standard
Note: The difference with the OBD2 standard, the HD OBD standard will be applied and diagnosed for all modules of the commercial vehicles vehicles such as ECM, ABS, SRS, Instrument Cluster, SCR, Body Control, etc.
