Innova SD35 SD-Advisor: Record Live Data Manually

To guide on you how to record Live Data Manually using the SD35 SD-Advisor Tablet Scan Tool.
Introduction
You can record and save several frames of Live Data information for each PID supported by the vehicle in the Tablet Scan Tool’s memory. Once recorded, each session can be played back for further analysis.
This article will discuss how to record Live Data Manually. This option lets you select the precise time at which the Live Data recording will occur. Recording Manually can be a very valuable tool when troubleshooting intermittent problems that do not meet the requirements for a DTC to set. The Tablet Scan Tool is capable of recording approximately 100 frames of Live Data.
Procedure
Step 1 - With the Tablet Scan Tool in Live Data mode, select the Live Data Menu.
Step 2 - Select Record Manually.
- The Select PIDs to Record screen will display.
- If the Scan Tool fails to establish communication with the vehicle, a “Communication Error” message will display.
- Ensure your vehicle is OBD2 compliant.
- Verify the connection at the DLC, and verify the ignition is ON.
- Turn the ignition OFF, wait 5 seconds, then back ON to reset the computer.
- The Tablet Scan Tool should power up once the ignition is in the ON position.
Step 3 - Scroll through the available PIDs and highlight your selection.
- Press UP and DOWN to scroll through the available PIDs. When a PID you wish to record is highlighted, press OK (a “check-mark” shows to confirm your selection). Repeat until only the PIDs you want to record are selected.
- To select all PIDs, select Record All PIDs.
- To deselect a PID, highlight the PID, then press OK. The check-mark is removed.
Step 4 - Select Done to continue.
- When you are finished making your selections, select Done to continue.
- The Record Live Data screen will display.
- Put the engine in the operating condition where the problem manifests itself.
- If necessary, drive the vehicle until you reach the vehicle speed at which the problem occurs.
Step 5 - When the problem occurs, select Record.
- A progress message will show on the display.
- When the recording is complete, a confirmation screen will display. Select Yes to Playback Live Data or No to return to the Live Data menu, as desired.
- If recording is not successful, an advisory message will be displayed. Select Continue to return to the Live Data menu.
