Innova SD35 SD-Advisor: EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health

Purpose

To guide you on how to check the EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health while using the Innova SD35 SD-AdvisorTablet Scan Tool.

Introduction

The Innova SD35 SD-Advisor Tablet Scan Tool can perform a check of the vehicle’s Battery and Alternator System or EV/HEV/PHEV Battery System to ensure the system is operating within acceptable limits. The EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health helps easily monitor the battery voltage and track any abnormal cells on Electric, Hybrid, or Plug-In Hybrid vehicles.

Procedure

Step 1 - Connect the Innova SD35 SD-Advisor Tablet Scan Tool to the vehicle and select the 'Workshop Tools' function.

• First, connect the Innova SD35 SD-Advisor Tablet Scan Tool to your vehicle via the On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) connector to retrieve the vehicle's information.
• Then, select the 'Workshop Tools' function.

Step 2 – Select ‘EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health’ in the Workshop Tools screen.

• After selecting the EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health in the Workshop Tools screen, the EV/HEV/PHEV Battery Health Menu will display.
• If the vehicle is an electric or hybrid vehicle, the EV/ HEV/PHEV Battery Health screen will show a graphic representation of the vehicle’s current state of charge for all battery pack cells.
• If the Hybrid/EV Battery Test is not supported by the vehicle under test, an “advisory” message displays. Select Back to return to the Workshop Tools screen.
• When you have finished viewing the retrieved information, select Back to return to the Workshop Tools screen.
