Innova 5610: Transfer Recorded Live Data to RS2 App

The Innova 5610 can transfer recorded live data to the RS2 app. This can be done while the 5610 is connected to a vehicle and paired to the RS2 app, or when the 5610 isn't connected to a vehicle and paired to the RS2 app. You must already have live data recorded in the 5610 to transfer to the RS2 app when not connected to a vehicle. The 5610 holds up to three vehicles in its memory at a time. You'll need three AA batteries in the 5610 to power on when not connected to a vehicle. The process for recording live data is listed below:

Step 1

Recording Live Data:

You can record and save several frames of Live Data information for each PID supported by the vehicle in the scan tool's memory.

There are two ways that the scan tool can record Live Data:

  1. Recording Live Data by DTC Trigger
  2. Recording Live Data by Manual Trigger

If LINK is pressed at any time while in Live Data mode, any recorded Live Data will be erased from the scan tool’s memory.

Step 2

Pairing to the RS2 app:

After recording live data by either method you choose, it's time to pair to the RS2 app and transfer your recorded live data. The advantage of this is a bigger, more colorful screen on your smart device, and you can have up to eight individual graphs to look through.

Once the 5610 is paired with the RS2 app, select "Live Data" to get the option to select your recorded live data stored in the 5610.

You'll notice in the image that there's multiple live data recordings already saved to the smart device from other dates and even other vehicles. The RS2 app will allow you to save multiple live data recordings so you don't need to worry about saving it on the 5610 anymore after transferring to the RS2 app.

Next, select the live data "Parameters" you want to view. (Only up to 8 PIDs at a time).

After selecting the parameters (PIDs), select "Live Replay".

You can now view your vehicle's live data parameter values. Select "View Graph" to view the live data parameters in graph form.

You can now view the live data parameters selected in 8 separate graphs.

Select "Overlay Graphs" which allows you to select only 2 parameters to overlay in a graph.

You can now view the 2 parameters selected overlayed in graph form.
